Packaging and equipment

The box looks like model IE6, beautiful, with a bunch of accessories.

There are one- and two-leaf nozzles, two sets of foam insulators. There is also a wire frame, earhooks, a clip, a case. Although the frame / case system is not very convenient (subjective).

It is simply problematic to hide the headphones in this case so that they do not fall out. And winding the wire around the frame ... it takes time.

As for a gift set - what you need.

Appearance and exploitation

Discreet appearance IE6. There is no brilliance, for that there is a certain solidity and practicality inherent in the Germans.

The construction is the same as IE6 "Full of holes", there are openings of the phase inverter. Hence the noise insulation, which leaves much to be desired. Soft attachments don't help.

Ergonomics at the proper level, the body fits comfortably in the ear. The wire is light, the insulation is soft, and can be easily thrown over the ear.

L-shaped plug, cable slider for additional fixation. Cable no questions asked. Wearing headphones with a wire down will not work, they are intended for behind-the-ear wearing. On the other hand, there is no "microphone effect" from the isolation rubbing against the clothes, it does not give off in the ears.

The ear tips will fit most headphones, they are of a standard diameter and are protected by a metal mesh. The attachments can be easily cleaned with the included tool.

Let's summarize. The appearance is pleasant, the ears are not strained and sit well, there is no discomfort from prolonged listening. The only negative is the weak insulation.

Sound

For testing, we used a standard technique and tools - a player, a selection of Prime Test records, and a collection of diverse compositions. The headphones were used with standard earpieces.

There are no complaints about the sound. Balanced, with a slight predominance of low frequencies. Compared to IE6, tighter and more precise lows, without much loss of "academic".

IE7 has significantly less distortion, higher volume headroom. Loud listening does not cause discomfort. Stereo picture, like its predecessor, is at a high level. More realistic sounding of instruments.

Mid frequencies are reproduced at the proper level, there is nothing to complain about. Vocal parts are separated without problems, there are almost no "whistlers".

"Heavy" compositions play not badly either. High detail, good attack. High frequencies are also without problems, loudly, without unnecessary noise.

We have: balanced sound, emotional presentation, pleasant, as for headphones, bass.

Compatibility

As for the younger model, a very high-quality source is not important for IE7. The headphones pulled the pitch well with Sennheiser IE7 only the Monster Turbine Pro can be considered, but they are more expensive.

Outcome

A noticeable step towards improving the sound compared to IE6, ergonomic, modest, not flashy design, decent package bundle. In a word, a worthwhile purchase. The money spent will win back one hundred percent !!!
