Currently, many manufacturers of office equipment produce a series of models that are very similar to each other, which differ only in print speed. So, the ML-3710ND printer we are considering is very similar to the Samsung ML-3310ND, but prints faster. Although visually they are similar.

The body of the model is made of light gray matte plastic, and the control panel is made of dark gray plastic, which stands out against the general light background. The side panels are wavy, so the design of the printer is very different from similar models. The build quality is good. All parts are perfectly matched to each other.

On the front of the printer, there is a tray (cassette type) for feeding 300 A4 sheets of paper. It is also possible to add an additional large cassette tray for feeding 520 sheets. This significantly increases the life of the printer. The paper level indicators are located on the right side of the main and sub trays. Above the feed tray is a multipurpose tray (holds 50 A4 sheets), which can serve both for feeding sheets and for receiving finished documents. The multipurpose tray has a pull-out stand and paper guides. Tray mechanisms work simply and conveniently.

The front of the printer opens completely. The manufacturer has placed a toner cartridge under it. The printer supports 3 types of cartridges with different capacities (MLT-D205E 10,000 pages). The process of installing and replacing the cartridge is very simple. The main thing is not to forget to use gloves.

The left side of the printer is empty, while the right side has a cover that covers the control board.

The back of the printer is equipped with a network port, power cord and USB connectors, back cover, power switch, and duplexer.

An output tray and a control panel are installed on top, on which are located:

For example, Samsung Easy Printer Manager and Samsung Printer Status (or Smart Panel) applications are designed to monitor and display device status information. They allow you to select the appropriate operating parameters. The AnyWeb Print app helps you take screenshots in Windows Internet Explorer and provides easy preview, editing and printing of images.

Eco-print reduces toner and paper consumption. It also saves resources and uses more sustainable printing methods. If you press the Eco button on the control panel, Eco mode is activated. The default eco settings are duplex (long edge), 2 copies per page, skip blank pages, and save toner. With apps, you can view quantitative results for carbon monoxide reduction, energy savings, and paper based on your settings.

Printing

Samsung claims a maximum print speed of 35 pages per minute. The printer prints, of course, very quickly, but this figure is a little overstated. A 5-page text document was printed at 15.8 pages per minute. When printing a document of 20 pages, the speed increased to 25 pages per minute. These are great results.

The print quality of the text is very good, crisp and free from defects. An effective 1200 dpi print resolution gives excellent results when printing black and white graphics. Even in toner save mode, characters are very clear, but appear slightly lighter than in normal mode.

Photo print quality is also quite good. True, in places with the transition of light shades to dark, sharpness is slightly lost.
