How to cook a gel tray
- Boil water (without a cap) and prepare 2 vessels: empty and with cold water.
- Pour boiled water into an empty vessel, wait 30 seconds for the water to cool slightly.
- Place the mouthguard in this water for 30-60 seconds (see the instructions for the mouthguard for the exact time).
To fit the mouthguard to fit your teeth, you need to weld it. You will need:
- Two containers - bowls, plates or cups.
- Skimmer or tongs. In general, do not "worry" - an ordinary spoon will do.
- A kettle to boil water.
Let's move on to the kitchen itself :)
- Pour boiled water into one container and wait 1-2 minutes for the temperature to drop to about 75 ° C. Pour cold water into the second.
- We place the dental appliance in a container with hot water. We wait for the time, according to the instructions, and get it out.
If there is no instruction:
- boil silicone and gel for 30 seconds;
- rubber and thermoplastic - 60 seconds.
How to fit the mouthguard correctly
In order not to burn yourself and not to damage the gums and enamel of the teeth, immerse it in cold water for 2-3 seconds. Rinse your mouth with cold water.
- Insert the accessory into your mouth and press firmly with your jaw until you bite comfortably. Don't overdo it and don't bite.
- Use your fingers to press the edges along the entire perimeter of the outer and inner sides, making a slight vacuum in your mouth and sucking air and liquid from the product.
- Leave in your mouth for 3-4 minutes. Fix the result - immerse the device in cold water.
Correctly cooked burl:
- exactly takes the shape of teeth;
- holds well without the help of the lower jaw (for single-jaw);
- does not interfere with the bite;
- does not cause discomfort.
