Enot J145 Tablet Review

To the delight of consumers, the tablet market is rapidly filling up, new manufacturers are coming to it, and this, as you know, helps to reduce prices and improve product quality. Enot tablets can be considered as recently entered the Ukrainian market. The company's products are distinguished by solid filling at an attractive price. Today we will look at one of these models - the Enot J145 tablet.

At first glance, the device from Enot looks like the first iPad, it has the same rounded corners and colors in which it was made. As Samsung's experience in the design of its devices testifies, it is very difficult to come up with something different from the classics. Therefore, what Enot is doing, using a design similar to the iPad, is more a plus than a minus.

The front panel of the tablet is completely covered with a protective glass. The Enot J145 has a large 9.7-inch IPS display. At the top of the screen, you can see only a small peephole of a video camera with a resolution of a 1.3 megapixel matrix designed for web conferencing. The tablet does not have a camera on the back wall, and the front one is unsuitable for communication via Skype or for taking pictures, but it can be used as a mirror. This completes the design of the front panel of the tablet.

The back of the tablet is made of aluminum, which is great because it contributes to better cooling and greater durability and resistance to minor damage. There are slots for speakers on the sides of the device, and on the right side there is a plastic insert for better Wi-Fi antenna performance.

All tablet controls: the power button, volume control, Reset hole, toggle for fixing the screen orientation and microphone are located on the upper edge of the device. It's worth dwelling a little on the screen lock toggle switch, because it's a very handy key. Usually, the fixation of the screen orientation is controlled by the operating system automatically, and thanks to the withdrawn key, it is no longer necessary to interrupt each time and climb into the menu to configure the screen.

The iPad has been criticized for its very limited interface capabilities. Enot J145 is doing very well with the number of interfaces. On the left side of the device there is a mini-USB connector, a full-format USB port, a mini-HDMI port, a microSD card reader, a combined audio jack and a connector for an external power supply. The external power supply itself is very important for the tablet because it cannot be charged from a USB connection. At the same time, it is a big plus that you can connect an external drive to the device and expand the internal memory using a memory card. Thus, the functionality of the J145 is at a high level.

The displays of most tablets of the lower and middle price categories are made on the basis of conventional inexpensive liquid crystal matrices. These matrices have such disadvantages as a small viewing angle and not always clear color reproduction, and everyone knows about this. There are cases that even reading on a device with such a display is possible only if you hold it in one position. In this sense, the Enot J145 is very different for the better. Capacitive IPS-panel with a resolution of 1024x768 pixels and an aspect ratio of 4: 3 provides high-quality linear color reproduction and panel brightness. With the display of the Enot J145 tablet, it is quite comfortable to work even in sunlight. The color temperature of the display is fairly flat at around 7000K at all gray levels. The color gamut, of course, is not sRGB, but no one even thinks to demand the accuracy from a tablet, like a professional monitor. The main feature of the display is that it is pleasant to work with it in any conditions.

The heart of the tablet is an Nvidia Tegra 2 processor with two cores and a clock speed of 1 GHz. The tablet has a standard amount of RAM - one gigabyte. An eight gigabyte flash drive is provided for data storage. The performance of the device does not cause any particular complaints. The device works quickly and smoothly with applications and games - nothing freezes or slows down. From the list of wireless communication modules, the tablet has Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n and Bluetooth, but in the interests of making the device cheaper, the 3G module had to be abandoned.

The tablet has a battery with a capacity of 3050 mAh, which allows for a six-hour autonomy of the tablet in video viewing mode, but when the Wi-Fi module is on, this time is reduced to five hours. If you just read a book, then the battery life will be about ten hours.

The Enot J145 runs Android 3.2.1 and comes with preinstalled software such as the standard set from Google, AVG Mobilation Antivirus Pro and TegraZone shell, which contains games that will help you fully appreciate the capabilities of the Nvidia Tegra processor. 2.

The tablet comes with not only the tablet itself and a charger for it, but also a leatherette case. The cover can be called functional. The case can be folded into multimedia mode, making your tablet easy to watch videos. It is also worth noting that in the places where the buttons are located, there are cutouts for them in the corresponding places on the case.

Now there is a huge offer on the tablet market and therefore it is often very difficult to choose a good and high-quality device. For a tablet, the main criteria are the speed of work, the quality of the display and the quality of the material from which it is made. For all of the above criteria, the Enot J145 tablet can be rated highly. The owner of this device will receive high performance, a high-quality display with a good matrix (IPS) and a wide range of interfaces. Of course, it would be much better if it was running the latest version of the Android operating system and could be recharged from a USB port, but even with these shortcomings, it fully pays for its cost. You will hardly regret buying this tablet.
