HTC Hero is the first Android communicator sold worldwide

Htc hero - 3rd Android communicator released by the company NTS.

This unit is available in white, black, brown and gray.

In the photo, communicators in white look more attractive than the rest of the presented line.

Design and Ergonomics:

The device is made in the same style as the previous communicators on Android. Design Hero turned out fresh, Htc managed to combine seemingly incompatible: a strict rectangular body curved at the bottom, a large touchscreen display and a trackball installed as navigation.

Almost the entire body is made of smooth matte plastic, except for the metal insert along the perimeter of the front side. The plastic is non-marking, but the display leaves imprints on itself, although you don't notice this much during work. Assembly flawlessly for gaps and creaking, all parts are perfectly matched to each other.

In the hand, the phone feels like a glove, in particular due to the curved shape. The phone is also convenient to carry in a pocket, the body of the device is thin and does not stick out of the pocket.

Controls and connectors

There are buttons under the screen: call, return to the main menu, call up the menu, reset the call. Below, on the right, there is a double search and return button to the previous menu. In the center there is a trackball for scrolling through pages, navigating through menus, between applications and screens.

The volume rocker is located on the left edge. On the bottom, there is a proprietary ExtUSB connector, at the top is a universal 3.5 mm jack for connecting a headset and headphones. Due to the bevel on the rib, part of the plug remains open. The right edge is empty.

The microSDHC memory card is hidden under the back cover. The SIM card is located under the battery.

Screen

3.2 '' TFT capacitive-type sensor matrix with a resolution of 480x320 pixels and a physical size of 68x45 mm. The screen has a good margin of brightness, but the picture becomes dim in the sun, but the information remains readable. The finger pressure response is good, but inferior to the Samsung i8000 and Apple iPhone.

Camera

The camera is located on the back of the device, at the top. The 5 megapixel module has autofocus, the picture quality is not bad as for a 5 megapixel phone. The camera can also shoot video, although the video quality wants to be better, the maximum resolution is 352x288, 10 frames per second and mono sound is 128 kbps.

Power supply

The Li-Ion battery has a capacity of 1350 mAh, the declared talk time is up to 7 hours, in standby mode the battery should last up to 440 hours.

pros

3G support (all GSM bands), Wi-Fi, powerful 5-megapixel camera, 3.2-inch screen (HVGA support), the ability to change the volume when the screen is locked, HTC Sense interface

Minuses

lack of an FM tuner, video of low quality, turning on for more than a minute, the camera's eye has no protective glass (dust accumulates), inability to play unconverted video
