The difference between a trimmer and an electric shaver in terms of use:
- a razor is needed in order to smoothly shave the face and neck;
- A trimmer is needed to care for the beard - so that it flourishes and obeys the laws of order.
That is, the question of which is better - a trimmer or razor is incorrect to set, since they have the opposite purpose.
Electric shaver or trimmer: how they differ in design
The main sign of a razor is that its knives are covered:
- the rotor has plates with thin radial slots. They glide smoothly over the face and reduce the risk of irritation. After shaving, the skin is clean-shaven;
- the mesh has a longitudinal mesh with small holes of various shapes. The razor catches hairs growing in different directions. Shaves even in hard-to-reach places.
You may be confusing a razor with a hair clipper. The second is similar to her, but "works" with the top of the head.
Signs of a mustache and beard clipper:
- wide open knife with teeth;
- attachments (or one attachment) for a knife, which regulate the cutting height of the bristles.
