HOW TO SAVE PAMPERS - how often to change a diaper, how to manage and what to replace

When the baby is still very young, you can make a diaper from a diaper or gauze. This is good for the skin - there will be no diaper rash, and savings for the wallet. You will use 1-3 less disposable diapers per day.

How to make a gauze diaper

  • Roll it in 3-4 layers, like a pad, and place it between the legs of the child.
  • Fold the diaper into a triangle.
  • Lay the baby on it up to half of the back and swaddle it like a panties.

How to make a diaper from a diaper

  • Fold the diaper in half and fold it in towards you.
  • Place your finger between the folds, with your other hand holding the tip of the diaper.
  • Moving the end away, make a triangle.
  • Flip the triangle of the diaper over. Roll the remainder that did not enter into two layers. This will create an absorbent pad in the middle of the triangle.
  • The diaper is ready.

To make the absorbent layer thicker, take another diaper, roll it up a few layers and add.

For homemade diapers, it is better to buy diapers 70x70 cm or 70x100 cm. Or you can sew the most old sheets and duvet covers.

DIY reusable diapers

Don't rush to throw away your disposable diaper. It can be used 5-7 more times until the Velcro is worn out.

  • Soak it in water to swell the gel.
  • Make a horizontal cut and shake out the contents.
  • Rinse to remove gel residues.
  • Remove the inner layer (the one you cut). It is double, peel it and turn it inside out. Remove the synthetic winterizer from it.
  • Remove the diaper, rinse and dry.

Insert a gauze or cloth pad into the resulting pocket, and change as needed.

"Pros" of such a diaper:

  • does not leak.

"Minuses":

  • you need to constantly monitor so that the child is not wet.
  • you need a lot of diapers or gauze.

An alternative to homemade ones is to buy reusable panty diapers.

Reusable diaper: how to use?

I bought it once - and that's enough until you teach it to the potty.

  • They are multi-sized: with the buttons you can fix the diaper at the waist. And adjust the tension force of the elastic perforated elastic band in the hip area.
  • Easy to use: The diaper comes with two inserts: one large and one smaller. If necessary, the inserts can be purchased separately.
  • They don't leakif the child is in them for 2-3 hours. But you need to change the gasket as soon as the baby is described, because it is wet. At night, I put a five-layer pad into the diaper: two bamboo liners and three microfiber liners. They perfectly absorb moisture and the inner fabric of the diaper is dry overnight.
    • Panties and panty liners are washed at 40-60 ° C.
    • Bamboo charcoal insert - at room temperature. He is not stroked.

It takes endless control to keep the child dry. But it's worth it: the baby will learn to understand that he is not comfortable and will quickly learn to potty.

Which diapers absorb better

It didn't work out with reusable diapers. Constant washings exhaust me. Therefore, I try to buy by shares in online or online stores.

I am not encouraging you to choose expensive diapers from Japan. They are no better than Pampers, Huggies or Libero. From my own experience I was convinced: the high cost of "Japs" is not due to quality, but due to delivery. You need to choose diapers that retain liquid for up to 12 hours. The manufacturer always indicates this information on the packaging.

Elite or Premium diapers contain strong adsorbents that absorb much more liquid and do not leak. They can be changed less often, and the priest is dry. One is enough for us for the night.

I wish your kids dry nights and sweet dreams!
