Homemade yogurt in a thermos - how to make (cook) yogurt in a thermos at home and a recipe

Both adults and children love the delicate taste of yoghurt. Agree, it's better to make a treat yourself than to buy it in a store. After all, the benefits of a homemade product are much greater and its taste can be varied as you wish.

How to make yogurt in a thermos:

  • boil 1 liter of milk and chill to 37-45 ° C. Buy milk with a fat content of 2.5% or more. The fatter it is, the thicker the treat will be. If the milk is sterilized (and not pasteurized) - do not boil, but heat to the specified temperature;
  • pour the starter culture (if you use one) with water at room temperature and shake well to dissolve;
  • pour the starter culture into the milk and mix thoroughly;
  • or add 3-4 tbsp to milk. spoons of ready-made yogurt (for example, "Zhivinka") and mix thoroughly until smooth;
  • add a little sugar, berries or fruit if desired;
  • pour the milk mixture into a thermos, close tightly and leave in the room for 6-10 hours;
  • Chill the finished yogurt in the refrigerator for 1.5-2 hours to stop the growth of bacteria.

The longer the mixture is in the thermos, the more pronounced the sour taste of the dairy product.

Fruit yogurt recipe
