How do I position my washing machine correctly?
It is better to entrust the connection of the washing machine to professionals who will competently carry out the installation with a guarantee for their work.
Take care to keep running water and an electrical outlet near the washing machine. Do not plug the device into a power outlet using an extension cord, as this may cause a short circuit.
To connect the washing machine, remove the shipping bolts from the back of the unit. Depending on the model, there are from 3 to 6 pieces (but, as a rule, 4). If this is not done, the machine will break down.
Keep bolts for the duration of the manufacturer's warranty. They can be useful for transporting the washing machine in the event of your move, so as not to damage the drum mounts.
Installation and connection of the washing machine:
- unscrew the fixing bolts with a wrench of a suitable diameter and pull them out together with the rubber grommet;
- install decorative plugs into the holes formed;
- install the machine in the intended place, having previously released the fixed drain hose;
- level the adjusting bolts to reduce vibration or slipping of the clipper during operation. They are unscrewed to the required height with a wrench of a suitable diameter .;
- install a separate tap on the rear panel by connecting it to the cold water pipe. Cover it after washing to prevent leaks;
- when connecting the machine to the water supply, use the smooth hose supplied. One end of it is connected to the fitting located on the rear wall of the device, and the other to the water supply tap;
- connect the drain hose (corrugated) to the sewer drain, having previously changed the siphon to a new one with a drain. We fasten the drain hose to it with a special clamp;
- Carry out a test wash without laundry to ensure that the drum works properly, water is poured and drained without leaks.
The length of the drain hose should not exceed 4 meters in order to prevent water leakage during operation. In addition, the pump of the washing machine is designed for a certain load. If you enlarge the drain hose, the pump will wear out quickly.
The power of the washing machine is quite high (about 2 kW in heating mode), so it must be grounded. To protect the equipment from voltage surges, the socket must be grounded at least 16 A (Ampere). For stable operation of the device, lay a separate line from the electrical panel, which is done by qualified electricians.
