Review of A4Tech Bloody V5 gaming mouse

A4Tech Bloody V5

Appearance and ergonomics

The Bloody V5 is a mid-size symmetrical palm or claw grip mouse. Glossy plastic, matte plastic and soft-touch plastic were used in the manufacture of the manipulator. The mouse looks very stylish. At the base of the top panel is a bloody palm logo with LED backlighting. It looks very impressive in the dark. The side edges of the manipulator are made of glossy plastic, and the upper edge is made of soft-touch plastic. The bottom surface of the A4Tech Bloody V5 mouse is made of ordinary matte plastic. It seems that it would be more logical and practical to make the side edges matte with a soft-touch coating, and make the upper edge glossy, but the developers decided the opposite. We all know that glossy plastic is very easily soiled, which is why the delivery set includes a cloth with a branded logo, designed to wipe the soiled parts of the manipulator.

In the palm of your hand, the A4Tech Bloody V5 model lies just fine, as befits a game pad. The hand almost never gets tired while using the mouse, as it constantly feels relaxed. The mouse is symmetrical, so, hypothetically, it can be used by both right-handers and left-handers. The only inconvenience left-handers may have is that the side keys are not duplicated on the right.

The two main buttons of the A4Tech Bloody V5 mouse are large enough and have an informative click. The side keys are relatively small, and therefore, until you get used to them, they are poorly identified blindly. The buttons for changing the sensitivity of the manipulator are not near the scroll wheel, as you might expect. Next to it are buttons for switching mouse modes. The wheel disappointed, it has a rather sluggish edge illumination, is relatively uninformative and often sticks when pressed hard, which often happens in a gaming rush.

At the top of the A4Tech Bloody V5 mouse there is a large opening in which the scroll wheel is located. Since the mouse is wired, the wire is connected in a slightly unusual way - under the left button, not in the middle. This decision does not affect the controller's balance. The A4Tech Bloody V5 mouse weighs 150 grams, but the good weight distribution makes the large enough weight of the mouse almost invisible during use.

Contents of delivery

The mouse comes with a small disc containing the drivers, a cloth for cleaning the mouse, two Bloody stickers and three sets of spare Teflon low-friction feet.

Functionality

The A4Tech Bloody V5 model uses an infrared sensor without a hole with a resolution of 3200 dpi. The sensor performs its work through a thin layer of plastic. There is no information about which sensor is used. Perhaps because it is an innovative development of the company. A similar sensor has already been implemented in the Logitech Couch Mouse M515, but it worked very poorly, and the signal was often "lost" altogether. The sensor in the A4Tech Bloody V5 is very powerful and behaves well on all surfaces. The sensor resolution is not the highest, but quite sufficient for most gamers. You can change the sensor resolution only after entering the setup mode by rotating the scroll wheel. To enter the setting mode, just press the button 1 from above twice.

A proprietary function of A4Tech is repetition of pressing or "high-speed shooting". This feature is characterized by cheating trajectory alignment and recoil compensation when firing from automatic weapons. The buttons above the scroll wheel in the A4Tech Bloody V5 model are used to change the mode of the left button, while the mode will depend on the setting of the Ultra Core 3 module selected in the proprietary Bloody 2 software. The buttons near the scroll wheel do not work at all in Core 1 mode.In the Core 2 position, button 1 is highlighted in red and means a standard left click, the N button with a green backlight is responsible for a double click, and button 3 is highlighted in yellow and is responsible for a triple click. A bit confusing, but you can get used to it.

As already mentioned, in Core 3 mode, the N button is double-clicked and can enable trajectory alignment during strafe and recoil suppression. Everything is implemented very simply. The first press on the N button compensates for the strafe, the second press on it lowers the trajectory, lifted by the recoil of the weapon when firing. Previously, it is necessary to specify the resolution of the monitor used in the mouse settings, as well as the shifts (in pixels) to the side, when moving right / left / down when the button is pressed. When playing, the use of these settings significantly increases shooting accuracy.

Competitors

The main competitors of the A4Tech Bloody V5 are the Logitech G300 Gaming and A-Jazz Desert Eagle mice.

conclusions

A4Tech Bloody V5 is a very good model of a gaming manipulator with ample cheating capabilities, excellent ergonomics and an attractive cost. This mouse can be used by gamers of all categories and skill levels as the main manipulator. But for beginners, the A4Tech Bloody V5 mouse will help to significantly improve shooting accuracy in most computer online shooters.
