WINDOWS DOES NOT LOAD (does not start) - why Windows (Windows) does not load if the system does not turn on

The reasons why Windows does not start are related either to malfunctions of computer components or to failures of the operating system itself. The reasons are as follows:

  • problems with the connections of computer components;
  • the hard drive, motherboard or memory is out of order;
  • critical failure of the operating system;
  • virus infection.

Below is a sample flow chart that will help you solve the problem.

Check the connections of the computer components

To do this, you need to not only turn off the computer from the network, but also turn off the power supply using the toggle switch on its back wall, open the computer case. Next, we check the connection of the following components:

  • hard drive power cable;
  • ribbon cable connecting the hard drive and the motherboard;
  • memory modules - do they fit snugly in the slots?

Turn on your computer

If windows 7 still does not start, replace the power and hard disk interface cables. We repeat the procedure again. Again the problem - read on.

Explore the hard drive

A common reason that Windows 7, 8, 10 does not boot is a hard drive malfunction.

  • Turn off the computer and take out the hard drive.
  • We connect it to another device, as an additional one. Do not boot the computer from it.
If another computer did not see the hard drive, then you have a direct road to the service center, because the problem is serious.

Check for bad sectors

Windows also does not boot due to damaged boot sectors of the hard drive. We checked, fixed, tried to start another computer from this disk. If the result is positive, put the hard drive back and turn on the computer. Boot problems again? So it's not about the hard drive and the cables, but about the motherboard. This problem is best left to professionals.

Could it be a system crash?

If windows 7 does not start, then the problem is a system crash. We are trying to "roll back" the system to the last working configuration. To do this, turn on the computer and after the messages from the motherboard appear, press the F8 key. Our task is to select the last good configuration from the list of positions that appears. See the illustration below.

Reboot your computer

If this does not help, then most likely the system files are damaged. Because of this, the operating system cannot boot.

  • We reboot the computer and choose to boot into "Safe Mode".
  • If it turns out to boot, we wait for the download and insert the installation disc with the operating system into the optical drive.
  • Then go to "Start-Run", type cmd, press Enter. Before us is the command line, there we execute SFC / SCANNOW. This command will repair corrupted system files.

It is recommended to reinstall or restore the system only after all the actions described above, that is, when it is not possible to boot even in "Safe Mode". To make the disk with the system work, you need to change the boot priority through the BIOS, and in the proposed menu, select the option to restore the system, but not install with preliminary formatting of the partition on the hard disk.
