HOW TO FILL A CANON CARTRIDGE - how to refill a Canon cartridge by yourself

How to refill a Canon cartridge

Canon printers and MFPs are some of the best devices for the home. They are very easy to maintain without any special skills.

When ink runs out, many give it to refueling centers. But! Why pay for something you can do yourself ?! Below are my tips on how to refill the cartridge. Learn and save time and money in the future. After all, you will have to spend only on the purchase of ink, which is enough for a very large resource of paper.

Canon inkjet printers usually come with two cartridges - black and color. Some models may have a separate cartridge for each color.

But the number of cartridges will not affect the effort and nerves expended when refueling. Let's get started!

How to refill Canon cartridge: step by step

  • Purchase an ink kit that matches your printer model.

  • Locate the sticker on the top of the black cartridge and remove it. So you will see where you need to make a hole.
  • Heat the needle and pierce it in the designated place no more than 0.5 cm deep.
  • Make a hole large enough to allow the needle to enter from the syringe and allow excess air to escape from the cartridge.

  • Do the same manipulations with the color cartridge. Just make three holes as the color cartridge has 3 colors: red, blue, yellow).
  • Decide which reservoir of the cartridge contains this or that paint color. Typically, all Canon printers have colors arranged as shown in the picture. When in doubt, it's easy to check.
  • After punching holes in the correct places on the cartridge, insert the needle into each reservoir in turn.
  • After piercing, place the needle on a blank sheet of paper to leave a print of the ink.

  • Now is the time to refuel the printer. You must have an individual syringe for each color.
  • The capacity of the black cartridge is about 10ml. Insert a black ink syringe into the hole and inject slowly.
  • Do the same manipulations with the color cartridge and refill three colors (each color is about 2-3 ml).
  • And that's it, you've refilled the cartridges.

The good news is that Canon cartridges do not need to be glued! Replace containers and continue using the printer.

Note: “The printer is printing blank sheets. What to do?"
