HOW TO CHOOSE A CASE FOR PHONE, SMARTPHONE - which case protects your phone better

I don't have an iPhone, my mobile is simpler, but I value it. I chose a phone case thoroughly, because I was not used to throwing money down the drain. I did not even consider universal models. Although they are suitable for a smartphone of a certain size, they are not convenient in everyday life without cutouts for the camera, speakers and keys. So the case, flip, pouch and bag were not taken into account.

I looked closely at the lining and the bumper. More precisely, to their material.

Silicone cases

They fit the smartphone tightly, do not slip out of the hands. Flexible. Depending on the model, there are only hard or soft options, not hard ones. They cushion well, you have to try to break the phone in the silicone cover.

Choosing between glossy (smooth) and matte finishes, I preferred the latter. Fingerprints are invisible on this one.

Transparent silicone cases turn yellow after 3-5 months. And the colored ones darken.

Thermopolyurethane covers (TPU)

Even better than silicone ones: they fit more tightly on the phone. And more beautiful to look at. Among them there are many models with a laminated pattern. This one does not wear off and does not fade. But the transparent TPU darkens, and sometimes turns yellow from time to time.

Plastic covers

Fragile. From polycarbonate, they also do not differ in strength, since they crack when dropped. Plastic models do not protect the smartphone, but decorate. If you choose such, it is better to take with a corrugated surface or with a Soft-touch coating. It is a soft rubber-like material. It is pleasant to the touch, does not slip or scratches. I like the Nillkin models, they correspond to my ideas about quality.

The broken screen is not changed under warranty, so you have to play it safe - stick on protective glass or film. When dropped, the glass takes over the force of the impact. The film protects only from scratches.

I didn't immediately decide which phone case is better - plastic or silicone. I really wanted to buy with an LED panel or with a cool inscription. But I decided not to overpay for "beauty" and took a matte silicone case. The black. I wear it for a year, but it does not wear out: it does not lose color, does not scratch or break.
