How and what to glue (glue) the seams of the tent

Anything can happen during the trip, including damage to the tent. When going on a hike, bring some repair products:

reinforced tape. It is an adhesive tape with a fabric backing. Easy to attach to the tent, impervious to water. Scotch tape is suitable for repairing tears, cuts, small holes;
hiking repair kit: rubberized fabric in a sealed package. Cut out a piece according to the shape of the hole, remove the protective film from the adhesive side and put it on the hole.

These funds temporarily solve the problem. After returning from the hike, do a more thorough renovation.

Recommendations are as follows:

cut out a patch from waterproof fabric. The shape of the patch is round;
Degrease both surfaces to be glued with acetone (the inner surface of the tent and the patch). Leave a 1-2 cm margin around the patch;
make a mixture of polyurethane glue ("Badger", "Desmakol", "Moment-crystal") and acetone in a 1: 1 ratio;
we lubricate both surfaces with a solution (we apply on the awning with a margin of up to 1 cm);
leave in the air for 10-20 minutes;
we apply undiluted glue to the surface;
air dry for 10-20 minutes;
put a patch on the surface to be glued and roll it in for 5-10 minutes; For rolling, we use a roller or a glass bottle;
leave under pressure until completely dry;
degrease the outer surface of the patch;
glue along the edge of the patch with a solution of glue and acetone. This is to prevent the edges of the fabric from unraveling.
