WHAT ARE THE WARMEST GLOVES - types of gloves, how to choose leather or woolen gloves for the winter

Gloves are indispensable. And it's good if they are not only beautiful, but also practical. 100% wool, angora and cashmere are not the best options because they stretch and smell unpleasant when wet. Study the composition. It is good if the yarn of woolen gloves contains 10-15% acrylic, nylon and elastane. Such products last longer, do not wear out, sit well on the hands, and generously endow the palms with softness and warmth.

Consider 4 types of winter gloves.

Knitted

They are made from a mixture of long and short fibers. Textiles are pleasant to the body at any time of the year, because they "breathe", absorb sweat and remove moisture.

  • Gloves with angora are fluffy. Warm when outdoors down to -10 ° C.
  • If the composition is polyacrylic (artificial wool), such a product is cute, even in severe frost. This fiber is moisture resistant. Sculpt snowballs, break icicles, sweep away the other, whatever.
  • If there is an insert on the finger for the touchscreen in the warming-waterproof gloves, there is no price for them. It is convenient and practical. Answer the call or watch the tape without exposing your hand.

Fleece

They don't really warm. But these gloves protect against wind, rain and snow. For the off-season, just right, because they create a cozy microclimate for the body, light, they do not feel cold even if they are wet in the rain.

Suede

Elegant. They are loved because they fit under a coat.

  1. Solid suede is homogeneous, does not wrinkle, soft to the touch, and does not shrink after washing.
  2. Lasting. The material will not stretch or fade.
  3. But it has a "writing effect" - viscous velvety villi change their position and leave a mark.

Leather

Leather gloves are a classic. To ensure the quality of the leather, try stretching them. The elastic material quickly regains its shape, but the fake does not, therefore it dubs in the cold. See for yourself. It's hard to make a fist like that. Take a closer look at the places of tension, you will see how "rays" of a thin film spread out to the sides, which will crack over time.

How to choose gloves: 3 important points

Decide on the size

Gloves should fit snugly. In the selected size, it is comfortable to squeeze the palm. If they tighten your hand, you will not stretch them, sooner or later they will tear between your fingers.

Inspect the seams

Stitched at random - marriage. Look at the seams, there should be no knots or seals on them, otherwise they will press.

Don't buy gloves without looking inside

The curved lining on the inside is evil. It's easier to throw away the glove than to give it a freak. This will press, and in places where the material is stretched, the seam will disperse. Take a closer look. Turn it inside out and check three indicators.

  • So that there are no pellets and the fur does not climb out, otherwise you will not wrap it around on clothes.
  • Test for uniformity. Run your fingers over the pile and inspect the bald spots. Bald patches on the lining are an indicator of marriage, because they are felt on the palm, especially near the fingers.
  • Try on gloves. Sometimes in them the fingers "do not reach" to the end. The lining gathers at the ends of the phalanges and gets in the way as it creates void-effect seals inside. Don't buy them. The reason is that the sizes of the lining and gloves do not match.
