3D TVs without glasses and more

Expensive glasses in the past

Toshiba was the first to release TVs with a diagonal of more than 40 inches, which allow you to enjoy 3D images without special glasses. In this case, viewing a 3D image is possible from three horizontal angles of view. The company also plans to release a "glasses-free" 3D laptop at the end of 2011, in which, due to the use of Eye Tracking technology, the effect of three-dimensionality will be available from any angle. The first computer that allows you to watch 3D video without glasses will be the 23-inch all-in-one Fujitsu Esprimo FH99 / CM.

LG, on the other hand, relies on passive 3D glasses: the new LW6500 3D LCD TV, thanks to inexpensive polarizing glasses, ensures that the picture is completely ghost and flicker-free. However, this solution has one drawback: the horizontal image resolution in 3D mode is halved. Samsung and ReaLD are trying to solve this problem with RDZ technology. In its use, the main components of the system based on the shutter principle are placed in the TV, and the glasses are converted into a passive element. Active shutter technology remains the standard in projectors as it can work on any screen. At the same time, the first HD Ready devices costing less than € 1,000 (40,000 rubles), such as the Vivitek D538-3D, are compatible with Blu-Gau 3D and PS3 players. And the latest camcorders, such as the JVC GS-TD1, can shoot 30 videos in Full HD resolution.
