How to cook meat in a pot of potatoes

Marinate the meat in vinegar. I use half a sour apple for the marinade:

  • chop the garlic here,

I advise you to marinate the meat in this marinade and let it stand while you chop the vegetables.

  • Cut carrots, onions and tomatoes into cubes, do not chop.
  • Put onions in a preheated pan, fry for half a minute, and add carrots. Grill for a minute over medium heat.
  • While the vegetables are on fire, add 1 tbsp. l. potato starch and stir. The starch creates additional breading for the meat.
  • Put meat in fried vegetables. Fry it over high heat, stirring constantly.

    When lightly browned, add the tomatoes and stir again. Salt some meat with vegetables.

    Turn off the heat under the skillet and turn the oven on to minimum heat.

When frying the meat is "sealed", more meat juice remains inside the pieces. The slices are softer and juicier.

Cut the courgettes and potatoes into 2 x 2 cm cubes.

To prepare ceramic baking pots:

- soak new ones in water for 1 hour,

- with subsequent use - for 10-15 minutes.

The glaze partially absorbs water and then releases it into the food. This makes the food juicier.

Put the ingredients in the pot in any order; this does not affect the taste. I do it like this:

  • potatoes → zucchini → meat.

You do not need to add water to the pots. Zucchini are watery; when languishing, they will let out juice, which will serve as a liquid.

Try to keep the sides of the dishes clean, otherwise food residues will burn. Cover and place the pots in a warm oven. When they have stood for 5-10 minutes, increase the heat to 210 ° C. Bake for about an hour.
