HOW AND WHAT TO WASH A BURNED POT - how to clean a burnt pan from burning and carbon deposits at home

A good method to wash the pot is if it is burnt both inside and out. Suitable for pots with any coating. You will need a second pan, more burnt, a tube of silicate glue from the office department (PVA - non-silicate), and half a pack of baking soda.

  • Fill a large saucepan with more than half of water and place over the fire.
  • Add baking soda and glue to the water. While stirring, bring to a boil. The boiling mixture will become viscous, like paste and form many small lumps.
  • Dip a burnt pan into it and "cook" for 15-25 minutes. The more persistent the stubborn stains, the longer.
  • Take out the pan and wipe it with a sponge outside and inside under running warm water. The dirt will easily come off, revealing a shiny surface.

This rule should become an ironclad: do not postpone cleaning burnt dishes until later. Success is decided by a few hours after the "incident".

Method 2: dishwasher tablets

Dishwasher tablets are a good off-the-shelf solution for removing burnt food from pots. Special components in their composition dissolve stable layers, including burnt jam. Suitable for pots with any coating.

  • Pour water into a saucepan to cover 2 cm of the burn and place a tablet in it.
  • Put on low heat and bring to a boil. As the water heats up, burnt food will flake off the bottom.
  • Boil the dishes with a thick burn for 15-25 minutes. Then turn off the hotplate and let cool.
  • Remove residual dirt with a sponge and rinse with running water. The pan will shine again.

Method 3: cleaning with soda ash or baking soda

Sounds suspiciously simple, but it works nonetheless. Soda perfectly cleans a burnt pan inside, from food debris, and outside - from layers of fat and soot. Suitable for cleaning enamel pots and stainless steel; the aluminum pan may darken.

Light burnout is enough to sprinkle with baking soda and rub with a hard sponge. Stubborn burns are washed differently.

  • Take a third of a pot of water and put it on to heat.
  • Add three tablespoons of baking soda. Don't be confused by the sizzling head of foam - the baking soda has reacted with dirt.
  • Leave the saucepan to simmer for 10-20 minutes. over low heat.
  • Then rinse off the dirt with a sponge under the pressure of water.

Before cleaning the pan, fill it with warm water with mustard powder or malt for an hour or two. They contain enzymes that will partially break down the burn, and it will flake off faster.

Method 4: eggshells and dishwashing liquid

This method works well "hot on the trail" when the bottom of the pan is not very burnt. For example, to remove the remains of burnt milk or porridge. Suitable for cookware with any coating.

  • Finely chop the eggshells and place them on the burnt bottom.
  • Cover it with a thin layer of detergent and warm water.
  • Leave it on for an hour, then scrub the burned area well with a sponge.
