Design overview
This book is presented with a small body size, but at the same time with 5 inch screen. Sony has kept the similarities well with previous reader models. There is one joystick in this book that allows you to turn pages, but the downside is that it does not reconfigure for left-handedness.
The set of selection buttons remained in the old arrangement, compared to the PRS-505, but now these keys are doubled and there are only five instead of ten. The menu items are clearly aligned with these keys.
So the buttons below the screen have traditional functions:
- "home": returns to the main menu;
- "back": using it, you can go back one step or cancel the selected action;
- "mark": allows you to mark or remove a bookmark;
- "magnifier": programs the font size, and with a long press, rotates the text 90 degrees.
All connectors remained in their usual places, the only thing in this model no exit under the memory card, and the built-in memory Total 400 mb.
The "Reset" button is located at the bottom of the device. The battery is located inside the device and is not removable, although this can be called a disadvantage, these batteries are very reliable and you will not have any problems with them.
Summing up the book's external design, it should be noted that the audio-out jack and the volume up / down button are absent in this model. And it is logical that this model does not have the ability to listen to audiobooks, but it should be noted that the size of the book allows you to build in a headphone jack and an external speaker, which would only be a plus for her.
Equipment
There is no charger included, although there is a connector for it. You can charge the device from a computer using the USB cable that comes with this book. At the expense of the software, it is no longer provided on a separate disk, but instead of this disk, the Sony ebook library program is built into the device, which is mounted when connected to a computer.

SCREEN
Sony, equipped this model with a 5-inch screen and a resolution of 600x800, 200 dpi with 8 grayscale and that exalts over her competitors in the budget class of readers. The quality of the letters is excellent. The letters appear crisp and rich.
SOFTWARE
As for the software, then this book is inferior to many analogues, with its limited abilities: there is no listening to audio, photo formats are not displayed.

CONCLUSIONS
Although this book does not have a memory card slot, it is large enough to store solid library... I think that the developers made a bit of a mistake by not at least having built in a headphone jack and a program for listening to e-books. It is also quite heavy and the software leaves a lot to be desired. But, the top aluminum cover protects from damage and scratches, and thanks to its small size, it is convenient to carry with you. Overall, this is a wonderful book.
This book deserves a worthy place among other readers with the same price category !!!
