ASUS Eee PC 901 is a portable computer that has become a worthy alternative to expensive portable laptops. The computer has got a larger display than previous Eee PC models with a diagonal of 8.9 inches and an updated Intel Atom processor.
BACKGROUND

As a result, the first model of Eee PC was deprived of an optical drive, the amount of user memory was only 4 GB, and the display turned out to be incredibly small - only 7 inches, and even with a non-standard resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. True, in subsequent modifications, in particular the EeePC 901, the manufacturer increased the screen diagonal to 8.9 inches, and the amount of user memory was 12 GB.
APPEARANCE
Unlike other inexpensive devices, the appearance of ASUS Eee PC 901 is very attractive - without any hint of cheapness, and the quality of plastic would do credit to much more expensive products. The appearance of the computer is really very impressive, which is partly achieved by its tiny dimensions and pleasant body colors. The device fits easily into a business briefcase or briefcase, and the 1.14 kg weight is barely felt when compared to standard laptops.
The main advantage of the new item over the UMPC is its form factor. Visually, the Eee PC 901 resembles a reduced copy of a regular laptop, so the user does not have to learn non-standard ergonomics and get used to a different control method, as is the case with the UMPC. The screen resolution of the Asus Eee PC 901 is 1024 x 600 pixels, which makes it comfortable to work with web pages, office applications and other programs.

ASUS Eee PC 901 is powered by an Intel Atom processor with a clock speed of 1600 MHz. The amount of RAM available initially is large SD cards (up to 32 GB). This simply does not make sense, since the manufacturer provides for completely different tasks for its PC 901. In particular, the computer coped perfectly with working with office programs, watching movies and websites. Not very resource-intensive games on Her PC also work well.
Wireless data transfer is represented by Wi-Fi technology, but the Bluetooth function in the computer is clearly lacking.

The Asus Eee PC 901 is available in two flavors - Linux or Windows Mobile.The good news is that a disc with all the necessary drivers for Windows was supplied with the computer. In terms of battery life, the Eee PC showed very good results - 3.5 hours without recharging. In part, this is facilitated not only by a good 6600 mAh battery, but also by a low-voltage processor and a less power-hungry SSD drive. Traditionally, the most active effect on battery life is watching movies at maximum volume or constant use of the wireless module. As for reading books and documents, as well as e-mail, such processes allow the device to work without recharging for about three hours. The battery charges in about 1.2 hours.
RESULTS
Eee PC 901 copes with its tasks quite successfully. It is quite capable of replacing a PDA with a QWERTY keyboard, which many business people take with them on trips, as well as a compact laptop.
