Introduction
Last month, NVIDIA released the highly anticipated GeForce GTX 580 that shook up the graphics card world. After probably some defect in production, the company began to release a GeForce 500 series GPU, namely the GeForce GTX 570, based on the GF110 core.
The graphics card has 480 CUDA cores (the same number as the previous generation GTX 480), but with a 320-bit GDDR5 memory interface paired with 1280 MB of memory. As a result, the number of ROP's was 40. Thanks to the improved technical process, NVIDIA was able to significantly increase the GPU frequencies, compared to previous generations, without increasing the TDP. The core runs at 732 MHz (higher than the GTX 480), 1464 MHz CUDA cores (again higher than the GTX 480), and 950 MHz (3800 MHz GDDR5 effective bus frequency) for memory, its bandwidth was 152 GB / s ... TDP of the video card at the level of 219 watts, powered by two 6-pin connectors.
Video card
There is nothing attractive in the appearance of the video card, as always boring design, nothing superfluous. The GeForce ASUS GTX 570 even looks the same as the Geforce GTX 580 and the labels are in the same position.
GeForce NVIDIA GTX 570 will require two PCI slots in your system. This is already the standard for all modern gaming video cards.
The card has two DVI ports and one mini-HDMI port. According to NVIDIA specifications, the card also supports DisplayPort. Unlike the latest GPUs from AMD, the product logic design is not as flexible. On AMD cards, customers can bundle six TMDS links (six monitors) into any configuration they want (DVI dual link). On NVIDIA graphics cards, you are tied to two DVI and one HDMI / DP in addition to that. The company has confirmed that only two monitors can be connected in this way, and for three monitors you will need two such video cards.
NVIDIA included an HDMI audio playback device in their GPUs, which did away with the need to connect an external audio source to the card for HDMI to function. HDMI 1.3a includes Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, AC-3, DTS and 7.1 channel 192 kHz / 24-bit audio. The company also plans to implement full support for the HDMI 1.4 specification, which will become available later this year, but only after 3D Blu-ray movies become available.

The GTX GeForce 570 and 580 are the few graphics cards that use vapor-chamber technology to maximize heat transfer between the GPU and the rest of the PCB. This is a very capable cooling solution, but it also increases the price of the graphics card.

The GF110 is made using the 40nm process technology in Taiwan. It uses approximately 3 billion transistors, 200 million fewer than the GF100. According to NVIDIA, the die is 520 square millimeters.

All video cards were tested on the above hardware. The tests were carried out three times, as a result of which the average result for each video card was displayed.
Benchmarks were carried out with the following graphics settings and resolutions:
- 1024 x 768, no anti-aliasing;
- 1280 x 1024, 2x anti-aliasing;
- 1680 x 1050, 4x anti-aliasing;
- 1920 x 1200, 4x anti-aliasing;
- 2560 x 1600, 4x anti-aliasing.

You play the role of a mercenary who is trying to make a living. Zone - an area that is affected by the so-called anomalies and mutants that will stand in your way. The new faction system in the game encourages you to support various factions in the Zone in exchange for information, equipment and weapons. The Clear Sky engine is based on the first Stalker and has numerous enhancements including support for DirectX 10 and 10.1. As in the Chronicle of Riddick, NVIDIA video cards showed 0.0 FPS at 2560x1600, for the above reason.

Since its price is low, ASUS decided to slightly increase the already considerable clock speeds. ASUS Voltage Tweak software will allow enthusiasts to increase the voltage applied to the GPU, thereby increasing overclocking capabilities. The reference PCB and the CO itself cool the video card well and have a low noise level. In general, NVIDIA did not lose out with the GTX 570, it can be a very good present for a gamer for the New Year.
